Doctor of Philosophy in Tourism

1. Educational Goal

The PhD program will prepare the attendant for an academic career in tourism. Thus, the PhD is not designed as the third level of science oriented education but as the first level of a career at a university.

To receive this degree, the graduates have to prove autonomous and perfect methodological scientific working.

2. Target Students

The program addresses exclusively master graduates that are heading towards an academic career at a university and with a specific focus on tourism and leisure management research.

3. Requirements

  • Master degree
  • English knowledge in writing and speaking at a level of TOEFL 560 or IELTS 6.0 or C1
  • Positive approval by the University's Admission Committee
